PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE

People of different ages and professions attended the first beginner photography course of Fundación Jocotoco in Yanacocha.

This course included theory and practice. The former was given at Café del Zamarrito, and afterwards the students applied what was learned by taking pictures of a great variety of birds and vegetation.

We will soon open the second level of this course!

COURSE WITH AMERICAN STUDENTS IN CANANDE, TESORO ESCONDIDO AND GALAPAGOS

In June 2018 we had the pleasure to receive 16 high-school students and 4 American teachers who visited the reserves of Canande, Tesoro Escondido and the Galapagos Islands.

They lived together with the local communities, learned about ecology and species' conservations through the projects managed by Fundación de Conservación Jocotoco. Moreover, they participated in activities, such as: chocolate preparation, reptiles' identification, sports, and more!

RIVER FALLS HIGH SCHOOL VISIST

The students of River Falls High School visisted us during the summer to know more about our reserves, like the one in Galapagos. They spent 15 days with us in which they participated in activities like reforestation, walks in the forest, watching sea turtles and sharks, among others. We hope to see you again soon.
